This experiences allows her to give her patients an integrated, supportive and complimentary approach to health care.
Shannon has always been fascinated with the human body and how it functions in the presences of stressors, showing sensitivity and vulnerability, yet incredible resiliency. Shannon believes Massage Therapy is an effective way to combat stress, treat soft issue ailments and promote overall health. Shannon uses her knowledge that soft tissues respond differently to varying amounts of pressure, manipulation and care, and consequently incorporates a variety of gentle and deeper techniques to achieve the desired result. This is one reason communication between therapist and client is critical.
Shannon feels grateful to be able to provide care that supports recovery and wellness while educating the patients to help recognize contributing factors and early onset of symptoms. Shannon respects the uniqueness of each patient and condition and treats them accordingly. She has experience treating job related discomforts, chronic pain syndromes, headaches, pregnancy discomforts, decreasing stress, and a variety of other conditions.
